Telconet and Alcatel Submarine Networks have agreed that the Main Vessel Vessel for the CSN-1 will be the Ile de Sein. The loading of the CSN-1 will begin early May 2025.
Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) has booked the Cable Ship Ile de Sein to perform in the CSN-1 marine loading & installation of both its Pacific and Caribbean Segments. Once the Pacific segment is loaded, ASN will commence loading the CSN-1 Caribbean segment; that loading will be complete approximately 1 month later. Once complete, the full CSN-1 system will be on board the Ile de Sein and she will transit to the Americas to install the system, which is expected to take approximately 9 months to lay.
The Ile de Sein is one of ASN’s Ile de class vessels used by ASN globally to install undersea cable systems worldwide. The Ile de Sein is recognized by the industry as a capable vessel to perform such marine installation successfully and reliably for undersea cable networks.
